The Museum of Jurassic Technology (artists/performers/filmmakers and curators) from California, during 3 days, on 9/10/11 September 2009 stayed in Art Villa Garikula (Kaspi, Akhalkalaki) where we were involved in Contemporary Art Festival 'Fest I Nova. Our Project - 3D motion film, Shin, explores the natural landscape, music and culture of Georgia and its traditions in both an historical and anthropological sense. As we travel all over Georgia filming, we also participate and present our other works. So far it has been a sensational experience both for the artists and communities which we visited and developed new partnerships.  From Art Villa Garikula we visited and filmed in 3d motion picture many historical places and monuments of that region, such as ErtaTsminda Church of XI c., Rkoni Monastery, Tamar's Bridge and Fortress... In the evenings we collaboratively presented our works of various medium, projected experimental films - some which honored Rustaveli and Tamarien inspired visuals, these installations were accompanied with live music performed by two of our  American members who played Panduri and sang Georgian Folk songs.
Our group is thrilled let you all know that the heart and soul of Mr. Karaman Kutateladze of the Art Villa Garikhula and the community were fully prepared and excited to host our group of 8 artists and provide all resources possible which enabled us to present and film in and around most mystical places of Kaspi area. Our hosts shared with us the artistic sympathy and offered guidance and true artistic hospitality. We believe that this partnership will generate a beautiful rendering of Georgian culture. We also anticipate that our presence and presentations will make a significant contribution to cultural institutions all over the world, fostering free expression in forms meticulously planned, conceived and executed.
This film offers a new perspective on our Museum's ideas as well as a new dimension to the exhibitions for other institutions and interested parties. Our Museum often receives speaking invitations and we plan screen the 3d motion film on Georgia at universities, museums and other art institutions around the United States and the world during these kinds of opportunities. The Museum Of Jurassic Technology deeply appreciates Art Villa Garikhula's hospitality and collaboration. We hope to come back in Garikula  next year  to present the completed film.
